Abstract: 管理顧問業，又稱企管顧問業，是專業性服務業中相當年輕且呈現多元化面貌的一個新興產業。目前有關「管理顧問」之名稱定義紛紜？Larry Greiner & Robert Metzger（1982）於Consulting to Management中將「管理顧問」定義為：「一群接受過特殊訓練且具有相當專業知識者，依其與客戶所訂定之契約，提供給客戶諮詢服務；他們客觀而獨立的態度協助客戶，發覺其管理上之問題、分析問題並提出解決問題的方法，並於客戶提出請求時，協助其執行上述解決方案」。故廣義而言，企業管理顧問就是協助企業改善或建立健全的企業管理制度，解決企業經營管理問題，並針對企業經營缺失給予指正並研擬對策，使其穩健發展並永續經營
