Abstract:	地理位於東北亞，一年四季分明的日本，由於位在中國東北部，因此文化也深受中國影響，而且近年來深受西化影響，但傳承已久的祭典意義並不因時代的變遷和外來的文化而有所不同；節慶活動不只可以反映其民族的文化風貌，更可間接瞭解人文民情，也因為祭典，讓我們可以更瞭解日本。夏日祭典對日本而言，是年中行事的主軸之一，祭典本身不管對宗教而言，亦或是對人、事、地、物、自然而言，慶典、儀式、舞蹈都一一呈現出日本年中行事時序，使人們的生活更賦予多彩多姿。最具代表性的盂蘭盆祭，舉辦場次與觀看人數頗多的花火大會，蘊含豐富故事情節的七夕節，最多文化、節慶活動的—夏日祭典。
